The main aim of the programme was to bring our traditional way of life alive for the younger generation, helping children learn about the customs, occupations, food, games and practices of our ancestors and understand how people lived in the past.<br>The programme began with a Traditional Heritage Parade by the Youth, showcasing the traditional occupations and way of life of Goa. This was followed by various traditional games for different age groups, including Sip &amp; Sprint, Nose Knows Challenge, Matki Masti, Village Champions, Straw Relay Challenge and Balance &amp; Pass. A Treasure Hunt was also conducted, adding an element of fun while encouraging the children to explore and learn about our heritage. Basket Weaving was conducted for the PPC, giving participants an opportunity to experience a traditional skill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The cultural programme included a Traditional Dance by the Legion of Mary, Fancy Dress by Books 2\u20134, Patriotic Dance by Books 5 &amp; 6, PPC fillers and a special item by the Catechists.<br>A special highlight of the celebration was the display of traditional Goan sweet dishes prepared by the parents of the catechists and he Legion of Mary. These dishes helped the children discover the traditional sweets prepared by our elders and understand how food and customs formed an important part of life in earlier times. SSVP also supported the programme by providing delicious traditional snacks.<br>Through the various activities, the programme gave children and the community an opportunity to see, experience and appreciate the traditions, occupations, skills, food and lifestyle of the generations before us.<br>The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks.
