The meeting commenced with a prayer led by SCC 11 & 12, seeking God’s guidance and blessings for the meeting and the parish community.

2. Welcome

The Moderator welcomed all the members on behalf of the Parish Priest and the Executive Committee (EXCO).

3. Reading and Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the previous PPC meeting were read by the Secretary. The minutes were passed by the house, approved and seconded.

4. Evaluation of Previous Events

The events and activities conducted during July and Mid August were reviewed and evaluated. The members shared their observations and suggestions to help improve future parish programmes.

5. Novena and Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The preparation for the Novena and Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was discussed.

It was decided that the Catechists would organize and coordinate the novenas.

After each novena, sweets will be distributed to the children attending the novena.

Parishioners who wish to sponsor the sweets may voluntarily do so.

The Catechism children will be encouraged to bring stationery items and grocery items from their homes. These will be collected and distributed to children in need, thereby fostering the value of sharing, caring and giving among the children.

The Legion of Mary will organize and manage the canteen during the novena days.

Address by the President

The President, Rev. Fr. Ubaldo Fernandes, addressed the members at the PPC meeting and reflected on the importance of coming together as a faith community. He reminded everyone of the words of Jesus, “Abide in me and I in you.” He emphasized that these words should guide the work and responsibilities of every member of the Parish Pastoral Council. He encouraged all the members to work together with a spirit of cooperation, humility and commitment, keeping Christ at the center of every decision and activity. He concluded by urging the Council to be a true instrument of God’s love and service to the parish community.

The meeting ended with the prayers by SCC 11 and 12 followed by the blessing of the Parish priest..
